Dr. Scott A. Gard, a double board-certified vascular and general surgeon who specializes in peripheral vascular surgery, has joined the active medical staff of Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Gard practices at Lawrence Vascular Surgery in the Lawrence Health Plaza, 330 Ark., where he specializes in peripheral vascular angiograms, peripheral vascular angioplasty and stents, endovascular interventions including aortic aneurism repair and diseases of blood vessels, and a range of traditional vascular surgery procedures.

Gard previously practiced at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo.; the Mowery Clinic in Salina; and Kansas City Vascular Surgery in North Kansas City, Mo.

He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where he completed a residency in general surgery.
