Carey Novak, director of business relations and development for the KU Center for Research Inc., will address the monthly meeting of the Lawrence Technology Association, set for 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Zig & Mac’s, 1540 Wakarusa Drive.

Novak, who joined the Kansas University center earlier this year, will discuss his role in fostering research and development collaborations between industry, local companies and university researchers. Attendees will learn more about how local technology companies can partner with the university and work with its researchers to develop new, innovative discoveries and technologies.

Cost is $12 for members and $14 for guests.
