Lawrence High seniors Jake Lorenzo and Kyle McTaggart have signed letters of intent to play football at Independence Community College. Both players likely will play on the offensive line.

The Kansas chapter of the College Football Hall of Fame named Nick DeBiasse one of the top 11 football scholar-athletes of the year. DeBiasse played linebacker and tight end for the Lions last year.
