Candidates for the Lawrence City Commission and the Lawrence school board will participate in a forum this evening.

The forum is set for 7 p.m. at City Hall. The event is sponsored by the Voter Education Coalition, which is a group of organizations and businesses that have banded together to host candidate forums.

Candidates will answer questions from a panel of representatives from the media and the Voter Education Coalition.

The event will be taped and broadcast on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6 at: 8 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. Saturday, 8 p.m. March 22 and 8 p.m. March 29 for the school board portion of the forum; and 8 p.m. Friday, noon Saturday, 8 p.m. Tuesday, and 9 p.m. March 29 for the City Commission portion of the forum.

The general election is April 3.
