Tonight’s Douglas County Commission meeting has been canceled.

Commissioners had only one item on their agenda. That item was a request by the city of Lawrence to annex 40 acres where a sewer pump station is to be built north of Folks Road along Interstate 70.

The annexation request first must be approved by the Lawrence City Commission before county commissioners consider it, County Administrator Craig Weinaug said.
