Douglas County Farm Bureau and the Clinton Parkway HyVee Store sponsored the ‘Race Against Hunger’ today.

Tom Pyle, mayor of Eudora, left, gets passed by Lawrence Mayor Mike Amyx near the finish line in a race to fill their food carts with a list of groceries at the Hy-Vee store on Clinton Parkway. Pyle and Amyx, along with Hank Booth of KLWN, Cody Howard of Sunflower Broadband and Roy Paslay, mayor of Lecompton, participated Tuesday in the Race
