Gould Evans promotes architect to principal

Jane Huesemann, architect for Gould Evans, has been promoted to the position of principal within the Lawrence-based design and architectural firm.

Huesemann, who joined the firm 14 years ago, focuses her work in sustainable design, interior design, project management and community volunteerism.

A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, Huesemann received her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Kansas University. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects’ Kansas Chapter, now serving as Public Relations Committee chairwoman.

Huesemann is project manager for the design of the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center in Topeka and development of sustainable design solutions for a branch bank in Wichita.

Past projects include an addition to and renovation of Joseph R. Pearson Hall, home to KU’s School of Education; an addition to Woodlawn School; and Douglas County Bank branches in Lawrence.
