Kanwaka Family and Community Education unit will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Mary Czupor. Myrna Hartford, the co-hostess, will give the lesson “Rock Around the Crock.”

Mark Jehle, president of the Pioneer 4-H Club, called its August meeting to order.

Members answered roll call by recalling their favorite song and artist.

Treasurer Quentin Capra reported the club balance, which was $815.03. Reporter Kayla Blevins reported that she had submitted articles to the Lawrence Journal-World and Baldwin Signal. The Wilsons announced that record books were due Sept. 25.

Larry Wilson handed out scholarships to graduating seniors for the year.

Adam Lesser, president, called the Aug. 14 meeting of the Stull Busy Beavers 4-H Club to order. Officer elections were held, and the following 4-H’ers will take office in October: Adam Lesser, president; Ashley Lesser, vice president; Tori Booth, secretary; Megan Barber, treasurer; Dylan Schumann, reporter; Wyatt Schumann, parliamentarian; Kyle Johnston, historian; Lexia Jamison, song leader; Landon Jamison, recreation leader.

Junior officers were elected as well: Lauren Jamison, president; Scott Johnston, vice president; Taylor Springer, secretary, and Kelsey Wulfkuhle, treasurer.

The club then met Sept. 11. Members answered roll call by naming their favorite subject. Members were updated on 4-H items and advised that program books would be distributed before the October meeting. The club will meet again at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 for a potluck dinner at Stull United Methodist Church.
