Lawrence Humane Society will put on its 12th annual Pawsible Dream Benefit Auction at 6 p.m. Friday at the Lawrence Holidome, 200 McDonald Drive.

The event is a benefit for abandoned and abused animals. It will include silent and live auctions of items donated by dozens of Lawrence and Kansas City area businesses. The silent auction will begin at 6 p.m. and the live auction at 8 p.m.

Auction items include vacation packages to Orlando, Fla., or Las Vegas, and tickets to Kansas University, Kansas State University, Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR sporting events.

A cash bar and entertainment will be part of the event. Tickets are $25 per person or two for $40. They can be purchased at the Humane Society, 1805 E. 19th St., or at the door.

Proceeds will be used for shelter, food, medications, vaccinations and medical care for animals at the society’s shelter.
