Retro Night to benefit pool
Lynn Harrod will mix the drinks, and Jane Meeks Juelsgaard will play the tunes – all to benefit a neighborhood pool.
Harrod will be guest bartender and Juelsgaard will be guest deejay Saturday for Retro Night, an evening of ’80s-era music and dancing at JB Stout’s, 721 Wakarusa Drive. Both will donate their tips to the County Fair Swim Club, which is in East Lawrence near Maple Lane and Clare Road, behind Kennedy School.
Harrod, now an assistant principal at South Junior High School, used to work as a lifeguard at the pool. Juelsgaard is a hairdresser who works at Shear Perfection salon alongside Missi Pfeifer, who also manages the pool.
