Clinton Lake

Water 2.01 feet above normal. Temperature 64 degrees. Channel catfish fair using worms in creeks and river during runoff events. Some being taken on minnows and liver in lake. Crappie good at 4-8 feet. Most are being caught on jigs over rocky areas. Minnows have been working, too.

Perry Lake

Channel catfish good up the creeks when the water runs on worms or cut shad. Sauger fair off rocky points on west side toward dam on crankbaits and twisters. White bass fair off rocky points on twisters or shad-colored crankbaits. White crappie fair to good on tube jigs or minnows at 2-6 feet around flooded brush.

Lone Star Lake

(Updated 5-10)

Largemouth bass fair. Anglers are picking some fish up on shallow running crankbaits, jigs and plastic worms. Crappie fair. Most being caught off rocky banks and brushpiles using minnows and jigs.

Note: Lake will reopen today after being closed for three days for chemical treament of aquatic vegetation around docks.

Douglas State Lake

Closed to fishing. Lake has been drained for repair of dam and water-intake line.

Leavenworth

State Lake

Largemouth bass fair using jigs, plastic worms and suspending crankbaits. Crappie fair using jigs off piers and in coves. Wiper fair using jigs. Feeders and aerator are operational.

Lake Shawnee

(Updated 5-3)

Channel catfish fair using nightcrawlers, shad entrails and liver. Wiper fair using jigs off points. Crappie good from bank on jigs and minnows. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits, jigs and plastic worms.

Pomona Lake

(Updated 5-9)

Water 3 feet above normal. Channel catfish excellent off windy points on cut shad and prepared baits. Walleye good off windy points and dam using jigs or minnows. White bass-wipers good in upper end with large minnows or trolling shad jigs. Crappie excellent close to bank using jigs and minnows, especially at night.
