Woman hospitalized after injuries from fall
A woman was flown to University of Kansas Hospital early Wednesday morning with critical injuries after suffering a fall in the 1000 block of Missouri Street.
According to dispatch records, a caller reported the fall shortly before 2 a.m. but was uncooperative and hung up on a dispatcher. Both Lawrence Police and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical were called to the scene.
Fire Chief Mark Bradford said he could not release the name of the victim or say how the fall happened.
A Lawrence Police spokeswoman did not have further details available Wednesday, pending completion of a written report on the incident.
