KU med students do well on test
Kansas University’s School of Medicine students surpassed the national pass rate for a test taken by students at the end of their second year in medical school. KU students, for the third straight year, beat the national rate on the Step One of the United States Medical Licensing Exam.
The Class of 2008 scored a 98 percent pass rate, compared to the national average of 93 percent. KU medical students’ average score of 219 surpassed the national average of 217.
The school recently received accreditation for eight years from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education.
