KU women’s golf wins

? Kansas University’s Chelsey Pryor shot a final-day 74 to finish in sixth place with a 217 total, and the KU women’s golf team claimed its first team title since 2004 with a victory Sunday in the Mountain View Collegiate.

KU shot a final round of 290 – its best of the season – for an 884 total. Runner-up Nebraska was a stroke behind.

“I am so proud of our girls,” KU coach Erin O’Neil said. “I know what this team is capable of, and I hope this a springboard for the rest of the season.”

KU’s Annie Giangrosso carded a 74 Sunday to tie for seventh with a 218 total. Amanda Costner tied for 14th after her final round of 69 gave her a 221.
