Library dean candidate meets with KU faculty

Roxanne Sellberg met with Kansas University faculty and others Tuesday as she spoke about her desire to be KU’s next dean of libraries.

Sellberg, assistant university librarian for technical services at Northwestern University, is the first of five candidates for the position to visit KU. Sellberg said academic libraries face a transformation as they meet the needs of the future, and she wants libraries and librarians to be a part of that change.

Sellberg has been at Northwestern since 1995. She also has worked in libraries at the University of Washington, Indiana University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The next candidate, who has yet to be announced, will speak at a forum at 3 p.m. March 28 in the Big 12 Room of the Kansas Union.
