Chris Schumm, Lawrence, has been promoted to branch manager and vice president for Morgan Stanley’s office on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Mo.

Schumm has been with Morgan Stanley for 10 years, most recently as a financial adviser in the firm’s office on Wakarusa Drive in Lawrence.

In Kansas City, Schumm continues to serve his Lawrence-area clients. He oversees an office, at 4600 Madison Ave., with about 40 employees, including 24 financial advisers.

Schumm, 34, received his bachelor’s degree from Kansas University. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School.
