Damp and blustery today

Hang on tight to your umbrella.

“It’ll be blustery with drizzle to start out the day,” says Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist. “We have the winds, we have the clouds and we have drizzle out there.”

At 8:10 a.m., the temperature was 39 degrees, the humidity 89 percent and winds were from the northwest at 21 mph, gusting to 31 mph, making the wind chill 29 degrees.

“I don’t think the winds will let up any time soon,” Schack said. However, the drizzle will end during the morning hours, she said.

“We’ll see low gray clouds lasting throughout the day,” she said. The northwest winds will keep temperatures only in the high 30s today, she said. The high is expected to be 39 degrees.

Overnight, skies will remain cloudy, with the chance for morning fog by early Tuesday morning, Schack said. Tuesday’s morning low will be 25, with Tuesday’s high reaching 55 degrees, she said. Skies will be partly cloudy.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for the morning low to begin at 33 degrees, with the high reaching 46 under partly cloudy skies, she said.
