San Jose, Calif. ? Lawrence’s Brian Jensen, making his pro cycling debut in the Tour of California, moved up to 53rd place in the overall standings after Tuesday’s Stage 2.

Jensen finished in the second chase group, 5 minutes, 19 seconds behind stage winner George Hincapie (Discovery Channel), who won the sprint from a leading group of 22 riders.

Today’s stage is a rolling, 17-mile individual time trial.
