Seabury Academy’s season-opening boys and girls basketball tournament has been canceled.

The Thursday-Saturday round-robin event was called off when two of the four participating schools – Kansas School for the Deaf and Williamsburg – canceled school because of snow.

Seabury has rescheduled its games with KSD for Jan. 22 and with Burlingame for Feb. 5. The make-up dates for the Williamsburg contests will be announced later.

Seabury’s basketball teams now will open at home Tuesday against Hyman Brand Academy.
