Lawrence and area residents can donate blood today during a drive at the Community Blood Center.

Donors can participate from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the donor room at 1410 Kasold Drive, Suite 6. The center is asking for O-positive and O-negative as the critical blood types needed.

Everyone who donates will receive a coupon for CiCi’s Pizza. Pizza also will be served during the drive at 11 a.m.

One donation can help as many as two area hospital patients, said Leann DeLong, a recruitment representative for the blood center.
