University Bridge Club announces the winners of its April 8 game. Hosts were Jean Khatib and Gladys Dight.

Blue winners were Walt Hicks, first; Willie Stoltenberg, second; Al Smith, third; George Bocquin, fourth; and Roy Cropp, fifth.

Pink winners were Carol Smith, first; Mary Kanous, second; Myrna Ikenberry, third; Alice Akin, fourth; and Wanda Kring, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club played a stratified Mitchell movement at six and a half tables on April 5. The game was directed by Virginia Seaver. Playing North-South, Eldon Herd and John Gilbert won first in A. Virginia Seaver and Madelyn Jenks placed second in A, followed by Suzanne Wassmer and Wanda Durbin who won third. Virginia Eddy and Phyllis Brownlee won first in B.

Bobbie McCorkle and Virginia Johnston won first in A, B and C playing East-West. Julia Brooks and Mona Bell won second in A and Shirley Reese and Shirlie Vaughn won third in A and second in B.

The Wednesday Evening Bridge Club played six tables in a stratified Mitchell movement on April 5. Don Brennaman directed the game. Harry Talley and Don Daugherty won first in A, B and C playing North-South. Pat Musick and Sam Pierron won second in all three strata and Virginia Seaver and Harriet Olson won third in A.

Playing East-West, Virginia Hamilton and Shari Krentzel won first in A, B and C, followed by Helen and Bob Huffman who won second in A and B. Dick Moore and Bobbie McCorkle won second in C and third in A and B.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club played 10 tables in a stratified Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the April 7 game. Russell LaForce and Ilse Steinhardt won first in A, B, and C playing North-South. Klee Zaricky and Chris Lane won second in A, followed by Wanda Durbin and Jean Otney who won third in A. Harry Talley and Don Daugherty won second in B and C.

Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro won first in A playing East-West. Eldon Herd and Shirlie Vaughn won second, and Ginny Johnston and Barbara McCorkle won third in A and first in B and C. Mike and Cathy Blumenfeld won second in B and C, followed by Bebe Huxtable and Wanna Roszel who won third in B and C.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s April 10 game was directed by Virginia Seaver. Eleven and a half tables played a stratified Mitchell movement. At North-South, Lois Jones and Jeff Nash won first in A, followed by Clyde Rommer and Jeane Landry winning second in A and Lois Clark and Harry Shaffer who won third. Phyllis Brownlee and Madelyn Jenks won first in B, and Mike Lee and Earl Core won first in C.

Dave Piro and Jerry Sloan won first in A playing East-West. Terry Tolar and Lynn Hui won second in A and first in B. Donna Johnson and James Masilamani won third in A. Bobby and Elle Patton won first in C and second in B, and Dorothy Netson and Barbara Merriam won second in C and third in B.
