University gets grant for business education

U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts on Thursday announced a $343,000 grant to Kansas University’s Center for Research for International Business Education.

The grant funds the operation of a regional center for international business education.

The center teaches the global context of business and includes instruction in foreign languages and areas critical to understanding U.S. trade partners. The center provides research and training in international trade, commerce and other fields.

The funds were awarded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Centers for International Business Education Program. Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
