Warriors officially announce Miles signing

The Golden State Warriors officially announced the signing of former Kansas University point guard Aaron Miles to a free agent contract Thursday.

Miles’ agent told the Journal-World he has a partially guaranteed contract. In other words, he will receive some money even if he doesn’t make the team.

The Warriors also signed guard Ray Young, forward Justin Davis and center Deji Akindele.

Golden State’s roster now totals 17 players. Other guards on the roster include Baron Davis (6-foot-3), Monta Ellis (6-3), Derek Fisher (6-1), Mickael Pietrus (6-6), Jason Richardson (6-6) and Calbert Cheaney (6-7). Cheaney, Pietrus and Richardson also play forward.

Also reported in the J-W last week, Keith Langford has been invited to veteran’s camp of the Houston Rockets.

The Houston Chronicle reports the team may also sign guard Dion Glover and forward Chuck Hayes to non-guaranteed pacts.
