Seminar will offer tips for diabetics

A special seminar has been cooked up so people with diabetes can learn more about managing their condition and cooking healthy. What’s Cookin with Diabetes” is a free, two-hour seminar prepared by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, K-State Research & Extension, and Prime Therapeutics LLC.

The seminar will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the K-State Research & Extension Office, 2110 Harper St.

The evening will include a cooking demonstration by extension agent Susan Krumm, a sprinkling of tips for healthy eating plus samples of recipes and information on managing diabetes from Cheryl Allen, a certified diabetes educator.
