Community foundation sets grant sessions
The Douglas County Community Foundation will conduct two information sessions for community members interested in applying for funding during its upcoming grant cycle.
The sessions will be at 11 a.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Funding guidelines will be discussed and foundation representatives will answer questions. The deadline for applications is Dec. 1.
The guidelines also can be found online at www.dccfoundation.org.
The foundation, established in 2000, encourages the support of local charitable causes. In the last five years, it has distributed more than $1 million in grants in Douglas County.
