Eudora wins game, loses key performer

? Eudora won its district opener, but might have lost a player.

James Mills had six carries for 21 yards and a touchdown, and he caught a 16-yard TD pass from Kyle Brouhard, but he left in the second half because of an ankle injury in the Cardinals’ 34-6 victory over Santa Fe Trail.

His status for next week is unknown.

“It doesn’t look good,” EHS coach Gregg Webb said. “When James says it hurts, it’s probably not good.”

The Cardinals (7-0 overall, 1-0 district) were plenty good against SFT. They outgained Santa Fe Trail (2-5, 0-1), 377 total yards to 155.
