Frosty this morning, temperatures to warm up

Lawrence is under a frost advisory until 9 a.m. today.

But it won’t stay cold all day.

According to 6News Weather, temperatures are expected to warm up to 63 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Expect winds to come out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight, the temperatures will drop to 39 degrees.

At 7:29 a.m., Lawrence’s temperature was 36 degrees and the humidity was 89 percent.

For those heading out to Manhattan for the KU-Kansas State game, expect temperatures to warm up to 65 degrees. At 7:29 a.m., Manhattan’s temperature was 36 degrees.

On Sunday, temperatures will reach as high as 70 degrees, with easterly winds between 5 to 10 mph. Sunday’s low will be 39.

The next chance for rain could arrive on Columbus Day. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 percent chance for thunderstorms Monday afternoon and a 30 percent chance for thunderstorms Monday evening.
