The Force strung numerous passes together to create fast-break opportunities. Force midfielder Malachi Podrebarac capitalized on a fast-break opportunity to put the Force up 2-0.

A mental lapse by the Blue Thunder defense created another scoring chance for the Force. The referee called a handball on the Blue Thunder inside the penalty box, giving the Force a penalty kick.

The Force called on Allen to shoot the penalty kick. He was successful on the free kick and scored his second goal of the contest.
