Lucille Reep Keller, Newton

? Graveside services for Lucille Reep Keller, 88, Lawrence, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton.

Mrs. Keller died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.

She was born April 18, 1916, in Pratt, the daughter of Simon Clarence and Lelia May Ford Reep. She graduated from Newton High School in 1935 and attended Bethel College for two and a half years.

Mrs. Keller owned and operated a Dairy Queen in Lyons from 1951 to 1978. She was a member of Lyons Women’s Club, Atheneum Club and Methodist Church Wesleyan Service Guild.

She married Thoburn T. Keller on Oct. 31, 1937. He died Jan. 26, 1980.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara J. Kruse, Houston; a granddaughter, a great-grandson and a niece, Helen Benefiel, Lawrence.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
