Area fishing report

CLINTON (Updated 3-9) — Water 41 degrees and .3 feet above normal pool. Channel catfish fair using shad sides in the river above the lake. Crappie good on jigs at 15-18 feet. Walleye poor with a few reported near outlet. Wiper fair while fishing for crappie. Notes: Lake Henry was stocked with 500 trout March 3. A minimum 18-inch length limit on wiper and a 10-inch minimum length limit and 20 daily creel limit for crappie went into effect Jan. 1.

PERRY (updated 2-18) — Water 36 degrees and 3.3 feet above normal pool. Channel catfish poor. Sauger poor. White bass poor. White crappie fair on tube jigs or minnows at 12 to 18 feet on the brushpiles. Note: Crappie daily creel limit of 20 now in effect.

LONE STAR LAKE (updated 3-9) — Channel catfish fair using shad sides off points. Crappie fair using yellow jig 15 feet under slip bobber.

DOUGLAS STATE LAKE (updated 3-9) — All species slow.
