Givens-Meinen

Megan Elizabeth Givens and Andrew Thomas Meinen were married Nov. 6, 2004, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Bill Fisher officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Sue Givens, Pratt. Her grandparents are Wayne and Jean Meyers and Jack and Bonnie Givens.

The groom is the son of Tom and Ginny Meinen, Baldwin. He is the grandson of Maxine Kreutziger.

Maid of honor was Stephanie Harris. Best man was Jimmy Gillispie. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Spade and Lori Small. Groomsmen were Drew Sweany and Marc Rundell. Ushers were Albert Fincham, Marshall Claycamp and Luke Smith. Soloists were Heidi Wagner and Samantha Koelling. Liturgist was Kristen Bathurst. Pianist was Andrew Loges. Organist was Mark Holmberg. Guest book attendant was Ellen Meinen. Program attendants were Amanda Snook and Brittany Sponsel. Wedding coordinators were Barbara Koelling and Lisa Meinen. Videographer was Geoffrey Spade.

A reception was given at Maceli’s in Lawrence. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Jamaica.

The bride is a graduate of Pratt High School and Emporia State University. She is a program analyst at Payless ShoeSource’s corporate headquarters in Topeka.

The groom is a graduate of Baldwin High School. He is a student at Independent Electrical Contractor’s School in Kansas City. He is employed with DMA Electric Inc. as an electrician.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Ramirez-McDaniel

Katie Ramirez and Jacob McDaniel were married Oct. 16, 2004, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Mooney Creek with the Rev. Tom Hesse officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Bernadette Gilbert, St. Joseph, Mo., and the late Joseph Ramirez. The groom is the son of Greg and Marie McDaniel, Atchison.

The bride was escorted by John Ramirez and Jeff Reed. Maid of honor was Lora Ingels. Bridesmaids were Jessica Larrabee, Angela McDaniel, Jessica McDaniel and Ashley Ramirez.

Best men were Steve Agnew, Aaron Dodson and Michael Housh. Groomsmen were Brian Ramirez, Joel Ramirez and Eric Ramirez.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Estes Park, Colo.

They reside in Lawrence.

Davies-Riffel

Brooke Elaine Davies and Brandon John Riffel were married Oct. 23, 2004, in De Soto Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Copeland officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mike Davies and Debbie Huske, Topeka, and Mahlon and Robbie Strahm, Lawrence. The groom is the son of John and Julie Riffel, De Soto.

Matron of honor was Jamie Tilghman. Best man was Patrick Hadley. Bridesmaids were April Davies, Dana Blubaugh, Jayma Beadle, Danielle Davies and Lauryn Davies. Groomsmen were Jon Harley, Joe Blubaugh, Kelly O’Keefe, James Watson and Doug Mabry.

Brooke and Brandon Riffel

Ushers were Jon Davies, Jeff Norris, Jason Rowe and Timothy Holmes. Flower girl was Morgan Blubaugh.

A reception was given at Liberty Hall.

The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from Pittsburg State University. She is the annual giving coordinator for Ottawa University.

The groom is a De Soto High School graduate. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and computer information systems from Pittsburg State University. He is senior systems administrator for Ottawa University.

The couple reside in Ottawa.
