Area fishing report

CLINTON (Updated 3-3) — Water 41 degrees and .5 feet above normal pool. Crappie fair about one foot off the bottom or over cover near channel breaks from 4-8 p.m. Some fish being caught in the Wakarusa River above the reservoir. Walleye poor. A few have been reported from the outlet. Notes: Lake Henry was stocked with 500 trout Feb. 17. A minimum 18-inch length limit on wiper went into effect Jan. 1.

PERRY (updated 2-18) — Water 36 degrees and 3.3 feet above normal pool. Channel catfish poor. Sauger poor. White bass poor. White crappie fair on tube jigs or minnows at 12 to 18 feet on the brushpiles. Note: Crappie daily creel limit of 20 now in effect.

LONE STAR LAKE (updated 3-3) — Channel catfish fair using shad sides off points. Crappie fair using yellow jig 15 feet under slip bobber.

DOUGLAS STATE LAKE (updated 3-3) — All species slow.
