Pagano-Miron

Julia Licia Pagano and Patrick John Miron, both of Lincoln, Neb., were married June 12, 2004, at Zion Church in Lincoln, Neb., with Pastor Toby Brockman officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Diane Ash, Lawrence, and Biagio Pagano, Kansas City, Kan. The groom is the son of Gerald and Cathy Kieckhoefer, St. Croix Falls, Wis., and the late Paul Miron.

Maids of honor were Tara Pagano and Lauren Ash. Best men were Jake Miron and Will Miron.

A reception, dinner and dance was given at the Apothecary Lofts, Haymarket District in Lincoln. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Seattle and an Alaskan cruise.

The bride is a 1999 Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is completing the second year of a two-year fellowship given by the University of Nebraska for a graduate degree in nutrition and health science.

The groom is a 1999 St. Croix Falls High School graduate. He received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is employed as a youth minister by Zion Church and as a weight training instructor by the University of Nebraska.

The couple reside in Lincoln, Neb.

Pagano-Freund

Tara Anya Simone Pagano and Dr. William Lee Freund Jr., both of Greenville, N.C., were married Sept. 11, 2004, at the Hawthorne House Gazebo, Parkville, Mo., with Dr. Roger Coleman officiatiing.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Diane Ash, Lawrence, and Biagio Pagano, Kansas City, Kan. The groom is the son of Connie Freund, Prairie Village, and Dr. William Freund, Salina.

Matron of honor was Julia Miron. Bridesmaids were Lauren Ash, Amy Golub, Amy Walsh, Amanda Pagano and Jamie Atkinson. Best man was Todd Freund. Groomsmen were Doug Arioli, Paul O’Connell, Jeremy Siegrist, Brad Neese and Jay Annis.

A reception, dinner and dance were given in the Emerson Ballroom at the Hawthorne House. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Costa Rica.

The bride is a 1996 Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Kansas University Medical Center. She is employed as an occupational therapist at Therapeutic Concepts in Greenville, N.C.

The groom is a 1993 Shawnee Mission North High School graduate. He received a degree in medicine from KU Medical Center. He is a surgery resident at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C.

The couple reside in Greenville, N.C.

Ash-White

Lauren Amber Ash and Brian Thomas White, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., were married Oct. 23, 2004, at Paradise Valley Community Church with the groom’s grandfather Dr. Bryon White officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Diane Ash, Lawrence, and John and Nancy Shamy, Scottsdale, Ariz. The groom is the son of Bruce and Claire White, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Maid of honor was Elizabeth Ellis. Bridesmaids were Tara Freund, Julia Miron, Cara Muccino and Jennifer Sloane. Best man was CJ White. Groomsmen were Kelly Agnew, Eric Lochner, Eric Rogers and Brett Wiegers.

Lauren and Brian White

A reception, dinner and dance were given at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale. The couple took a honeymoon trip to St. Martin.

The bride graduated in 1999 from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Arizona State University. She teaches fourth grade at Freedom Academy in Scottsdale.

The groom is a 1999 Chaparral High School graduate. He plans to graduate in May with a degree in flight management from Arizona State University.

The couple reside in Gilbert, Ariz.

Klein-Blackstone

Marcie Rose Klein and Robert Charles Blackstone, both of Lawrence, were married July 31, 2004, in Kennebunkport, Maine, with the Rev. M.L. Agnew Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of George and Linda Klein, Worcester, Mass. The groom is the son of Harold and Kathryn Blackstone, Whitehouse Station, N.J.

Matron of honor was Tamie Endow. Best man was Todd Smith. Bridesmaids were Maggie Cooper, Fara Jellson, Randi Spiegel, Elizabeth Wetherbee, Sarah Williams and Elizabeth Windram. Groomsmen were Matthew Campanelli, Christopher Cuneo, Jonathan Endow, Eric Hasenauer, David Klein and Jeffrey Manning.

Kristen Bailey was junior bridesmaid. Marissa Endow and Victoria Endow were flower girls.

Marcie and Robert Blackstone

A reception was given at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Doherty High School, Worcester, Mass. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., in 2000. She is pursuing a Master of Science degree in education from Kansas University. She is employed as executive sales director at Riverfront Chocolates in Lawrence.

The groom graduated in 1996 from The Pingry School in Martinsville, N.J. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and history at Williams College, Williamstown, Mass., in 2000. He is pursuing a doctorate in history at KU. He is employed as a dissertation fellow at the U.S. Army Center of Military History.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Hamill-Little

Sherri Hamill and Brett Little, both of Lawrence, were married Dec. 18, 2004, at Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship in Lawrence with Pastor Paul Taylor officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Joyce Hamill, Garden City. The groom is the son of Dwayne and LaDonna Little, Kansas City, Kan.

Matron of honor was Jessica Atherton. Best man was Jon Bond. Bridesmaids were Heather Ball and Susan Gibler. Groomsmen were D.J. Little and Mitchell Little. Ushers were Larry Borders Jr. and Mark Euler. Candle lighter was Nina Burris. Leland Ball was ring bearer. Chloee Ball was flower girl.

A reception followed the ceremony at the church.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Garden City High School and a 2004 graduate of Kansas University. She is employed with Drs. Edwards & Wilson Periodontics.

Brett and Sherri Little

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Mission Oaks Christian High School. He is employed at Penny’s Concrete and is a volunteer with Wakarusa Township Fire Department.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Smith-Myers

Sarah Elizabeth Smith and William Lee Myers, both of Lawrence, were married Nov. 27, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church in Larned with the Rev. Jim Hawthorn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Vance and Susan Smith, Larned. The groom is the son of Verlon and Marilyn Myers, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Brooke Seba. Best man was James Myers. Bridesmaids were Carrie Ippensen and Bridget Burke. Groomsmen were Brett Romme and Mark Howe. Ring bearer was Brayden Smith. Flower girl was Cali Byrn.

A reception was given at the Town Square Ball Room in Larned.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Larned High School and a 2001 graduate of Hutchinson Community College. She received a degree in sports management in 2004 from Kansas University. She is employed by the Kansas University Athletic Corp. as an assistant rowing coach.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. He earned a degree in physics education in 2000 from Pittsburg State University. He spent two years in the Peace Corps in Africa, serving as a teacher and school administrator in rural Namibia. He teaches chemistry and physics at Olathe Northwest High School.

William and Sarah Myers

Nakayama-White

Anzu Nakayama, Kobe, Japan, and Christopher White, Lawrence, were married Jan. 9, 2005, in a traditional Japanese Shinto ceremony at Minatogawa Shrine in Kobe, Japan.

The bride is the daughter of Michio and Chikako Nakayama, Kobe, Japan. The groom is the son of Michael and Angela White, Eudora.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Kobe Ruykoku High School. She attended Truman State University, Kirksville, Mo.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Free State High School. He attends Truman State University and expects to graduate in May 2006 with a degree in anthropology.

Hilgenfeld-Neis

Kari Hilgenfeld and Stan Neis, both of Eudora, were married Aug. 28, 2004, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora with the Rev. Lisa Gardner officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Joleen Hilgenfeld, rural Dawson, Neb., and the late Ron Hilgenfeld. The groom is the son of Clifford and Sylvia Neis, Eudora.

Christopher and Anzu White

Maid of honor was Ketti Heim. Best man was Jason Grems.

Ushers were Dale Neis and Jim Neis. Kyle Hilgenfeld and Lindsay Brown were candlelighters. Kelly Neis was liturgist. Kati Hilgenfeld was soloist. Liz Hilgenfeld was organist. Greeters for the ceremony were the Dale and Tricia Neis family. Guest book attendant was Kristi Hilgenfeld.

A dinner reception and dance took place at Kim’s Barn following the ceremony.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to the Ozarks.

The bride is a representative with Monsanto Co. The groom farms in partnership with his family.
