Rachel M. Mohr, Emporia
Emporia ? Services for Rachel M. Mohr, 80, Emporia, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia.
Mrs. Mohr died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.
She was born May 2, 1924, in Dunlap, the daughter of Owen and Elva Stowers Hughes. She graduated from Dunlap High School and attended business school in Wichita. She worked for Beech Aircraft Co. for seven years in Wichita and Herington. She was employed by Didde-Glaser Corp. in Emporia from 1956 until she retired in 1988. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Parkinson’s Support Group, Miriam Chapter 14 and Order of the Eastern Star, all in Emporia. She was a former member of an Eastern Star chapter in Americus.
She married Don Mohr on Feb. 14, 1942. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Rod Mohr, Lawrence; a daughter, Beth Markley, Lenexa; and five granddaughters.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the chapel before the service.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Disease Support Group or the church, sent in care of the funeral home, 605 State St., Emporia 66801.
