The area should be dry and pleasant today and tomorrow.

“Not a cloud to be found,” said 6News meteorologist Jennifer Schack “with lots of sunshine and breezy winds to start the drying process, clearing up the remaining puddles and mud from the weekend’s storms.”

At 8:30 a.m., the temperature in Lawrence was 67, with sunny skies, 71 percent humidity, and a west-northwest breeze at 17 mph.

The day should remain pleasant, with a high of 83 degrees and clear skies. Some rain may develop in southern Kansas, but Schack says, “The thunderstorms should stay to the south of us.”

Overnight, the area will remain clear and pleasant, with a low of 59. Tomorrow will be much like today, with a high of 80 and mostly sunny skies. Clouds will come to the area after midweek, but expect temperatures in the low to mid-80’s and dry conditions.
