Frank Wright, an adult leader of Boy Scout Troop 59, chartered to the First Presbyterian Church of Lawrence, has been installed as a Sachem in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, an honorary camping program at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation. As a Sachem, Wright becomes a member of the governing body of Mic-O-Say, the Tribal Council. Wright has served as cubmaster of Pack 3072, scoutmaster of Troop 59, leader of Troop 59 for 12 years at Camp Bartle, advancement chairman of Troop 59 and Pelathe District membership chairman. He has won the District Award of Merit and the Heart of America Council’s Silver Beaver Award. Other active Pelathe District Scouters who are Tribal Council members include: Jim Peterson, Tom Sheely, Dan Sheely and Tom Volek, all of Troop 55, and Keith Wood, of Troop 59.

¢ Webelos scouts from Pack 3059, chartered to First Presbyterian Church, attended summer camp July 10-12 at Theodore Nash Scout Reservation near Bonner Springs. Webelos attending were Donovan Barr, Brandon Botkin, Andy Freeman, Philip Gabler, Caelen Golledge, Bryce Griffith, Nathan Kappelman, Chase Oehlert, Darren Rawlings, Corbin Robinson, Joshua Seybert, Drew Sheppard, Chris Sims and Matthew Steacy. They were accompanied by the following adult leaders and parents: Mike Botkin, Paul Gabler, Chris Golledge, Chris Griffith, Clay Kappelman, Richard Rawlings, Mike Robinson, Angela Seybert, Russell Seybert, Shirley Sheppard and Caroll Steacy. Brendan Golledge, a Boy Scout from Troop 52, attended as den chief.
