Boat ramp to close for two weeks for repairs
The Kansas River boat ramp near Eighth Street in North Lawrence will be closed for the next two weeks for repairs.
The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will close the ramp Monday to conduct work to extend the ramp. People wanting to access that portion of the river can use a gated boat ramp near where Mud Creek and the river meet. To use the boat ramp, people need to contact the Parks and Recreation Department’s administrative office to obtain a set of keys to unlock the gate. Call the office at 832-3450.
