Steven Jacques, right, shown with his wife, Christine Colby, was the featured speaker at the Dole Institute of Politics' Volunteer and Student Recognition luncheon June 11 at the Eldridge Hotel. Jacques, a Dole Institute inaugural fellow, spoke about the advance work he did during various presidential campaigns. Colby is a Broadway dancer and actress.

Orvel Criqui, left, chairman of the Lawrence Kiwanis Club's Substantial Citizen Committee, poses with Erv Hodges, former Lawrence mayor and city commissioner. Hodges and Dolph C.
