Bulls beat up on Pistons

? The Detroit Pistons aren’t upset at losing two home games to the Chicago Bulls in a month. They just don’t like that the Bulls did it by beating them at their own game.

Kirk Hinrich had 24 points and nine assists, leading Chicago to a 100-89 victory Saturday.

“We’re about rock-bottom right now,” Pistons coach Larry Brown said. “We didn’t match their energy and we didn’t match their execution. That blows my mind, because that’s how we won a championship last year.”

It was Chicago’s second victory at the Palace since Dec. 22 after not having won there in three years. Chicago hadn’t won twice in Detroit in one season since 1995-96.

“It feels good to come in here and beat a great team like Detroit,” Hinrich said. “I think it shows that we are becoming mentally tougher and showing some maturity.”
