Bartlesville, Okla. — A double-overtime loss Friday night to Oklahoma Wesleyan was even harder to swallow for the Fightin’ Indians because they play again tonight.

Haskell’s Lati Hill put back a missed three-pointer at the buzzer in regulation to send the game into overtime. HINU gave up a second-half lead and eventually cracked in the second overtime period.

“It was a tough loss,” HINU coach Jamie Morrison said. “We were in control of the game the whole second half. Tomorrow’s a tougher game against a tougher opponent. It’s gonna be difficult. Plus, we played double overtime, so the guys will be physically tired as well as mentally beat.”

The Fightin’ Indians play College of the Ozarks at 7 tonight.

HINU had plenty of solid individual performances. Topah Spoonhunter had 13 points and eight rebounds, Brandon Stevens had 14 points and nine assists, and Corey Ladson had 14 points with his nine steals.
