Paola topples Eudora

? Eudora High had three double-digit scorers, but it wasn’t enough to beat Paola.

The Panthers remained undefeated with an 85-61 girls basketball victory Monday over EHS.

“Despite the score,” EHS coach Cara Kimberlin said, “we played so much better than we played before Christmas. It could have been a real shellacking. But we played well the whole game.

“I just wanted my old team back, the team that would work hard the whole time out there and not quit. I think we quit some before Christmas. Tonight, I’ll go home and sleep much better.”

Michelle Deluna hit three three-pointers and finished with 18 points to lead the Cardinals (1-4). Kayla Moyer added 16 points and Erin Kracl 10.

Eudora will play host Friday to Anderson County.
