James Allen Rusco
LITTLE ROCK, ARK. ? Services for James Allen Rusco, 64, Little Rock, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend, Kan. Burial will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood, Kan.
Mr. Rusco died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born May 2, 1940, in Great Bend, the son of Orville John Rusco and Katherine Mary Schartz Rusco.
Mr. Rusco had lived in Little Rock for 27 years. He was a college professor and counselor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan., and his doctorate from Northwestern University in Chicago.
He was an Army veteran. He also was a member of the Catholic Church in Little Rock and a member of the American Counseling Assn.
Survivors include two sisters, Gloria Chediak, Lawrence, Kan., and Vaunita Schnell, Newton Centre, Mass.; two nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, where a vigil service will be conducted at 7 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Catholic Community of Great Bend, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood or the James Rusco Scholarship Fund at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, sent in care of the funeral home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend 67530.
