  • In all, a season-high 24 NBA scouts will attend today’s game.
  • KU leads the all-time series, 97-50. In the last meeting, the Cowboys defeated the Jayhawks, 80-60, on Feb. 9, 2004 in Stillwater, Okla.
  • KU coach Bill Self is 1-4 against the Cowboys, and OSU head coach Eddie Sutton is 10-19 versus the Jayhawks, including an 8-17 mark at OSU. KU is 53-10 against OSU in Lawrence and 38-8 versus the Cowboys in Allen Fieldhouse.
  • The Jayhawks won the first-ever meeting with Oklahoma State, 38-18, on Feb. 11, 1926, in Lawrence. OSU is 3-8 vs. Kansas since the Big 12 Conference was formed in 1996-97.
  • Oklahoma State is looking to bounce back from a 74-67 loss Tuesday at Nebraska. The Cowboys have won six of their last seven games and are ranked No. 4 nationally. OSU will play host to Texas A&M on Wednesday, then finish the season with a home game against Texas. KU meets Kansas State at home at Wednesday and travels Sunday to Missouri.
  • In the six-game winning streak prior to Tuesday, OSU won by an average of 17.3 points.
  • Self is a 1985 graduate of Oklahoma State, and was a four-year letter-winner for the Cowboys. He was an assistant for OSU from 1986-90 under Leonard Hamilton and 1990-93 under Sutton.
  • KU assistant Tim Jankovich was an assistant on Sutton’s staff at Oklahoma State during the 1992-93 season.
  • Chris Theisen, KU’s assistant AD for media relations, is a 1991 OSU graduate.
  • Guard John Lucas leads OSU with an 18.0 scoring average. He also leads the team with 4.7 assists per game and in three-point field goals made at three per contest. Forward Joey Graham is just behind Lucas in scoring with a 17.8 average and is second on the team in rebounding at 6.7 boards per contest. Senior Ivan McFarlin is next in scoring with a 12-point average, and he leads the team in rebounding at 7.5 per outing and blocked shots at 1.2 per game.
  • OSU is coached by Eddie Sutton, who is the second-winningest coach in school history with a 345-132 record in his 15th season at OSU. Overall, Sutton is in his 35th season as a head coach with a 775-296 record.
