Eugene Schneider, Eudora
Eudora ? Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene “Gene” Schneider, 75, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Eudora. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mr. Schneider died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 3, 1930, in St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Emil and Marie Theis Schneider.
Mr. Schneider worked for many years as a Toyota auto mechanic. His last job was with Roger Smith & Sons Toyota in Kansas City, Kan. He was a Certified Master Technician.
He was a member of the Dorsey-Liberty Post No. 14 of the American Legion.
He married Ruth Ann Tinder on April 20, 1963, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, James, Eudora; three sisters, Mary Ann Long and Betty Lou Schneider, Wathena, and Alice Thuma, Boise, Idaho; and one granddaughter.
The family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel. The family suggests memorials to the Amanda Kay Schneider Education Fund, sent in care of the mortuary.
