Spring Hill runs away from Baldwin boys, 98-71

? A furious offensive pace in the first three quarters left Baldwin out of gas, and the Bulldogs lost a high school boys basketball shootout with Spring Hill, 98-71, Friday night.

A 30-point performance from Baldwin’s Aaron Hannon was wasted when Baldwin could not stop Spring Hill’s Dustin Smith, who scored 34 points.

“It was an up-and-down, wild affair,” Baldwin coach Heath Cooper said. “We couldn’t stop them on defense, really. I think they took us out of our comfort zone a little bit, and they got us playing frantic, and they wore us down on defense.”

Baldwin’s offense got worn out as well, as it could manage only 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Baldwin (5-10) will play at Prairie View on Monday.
