Mill Valley tops Piper
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Mill Valley’s girls basketball team turned in a strong defensive performance on Thursday in a 26-23 Kaw Valley League victory over Kansas City Piper.
The Jaguars limited the Pirates to just three points in the first quarter and two in the fourth, helping them pull away for the victory at Piper.
Kendra Corley led the Jaguars with 10 points, and Megan Niemann chipped in nine.
In all, eight different players scored for Mill Valley.
The Jaguars will look to keep the momentum going tonight when they travel to Basehor-Linwood.
