Baker University enrollment increases

Baker University’s preliminary enrollment increased by nearly 10 percent this fall, fueled by a large increase in students at the School of Professional and Graduate Studies in Overland Park.

There are 3,209 students enrolled at Baker’s three campuses this fall, up 9.7 percent from fall 2004.

Individual campus enrollments are:

¢ Baldwin campus, 902 students, up 47 (or 5.5 percent) from last year.

¢ SPGS, 2,170 students, up 237 students (or 10.9 percent) from last year.

¢ School of Nursing in Topeka, 137 students, which is the same as last year and the maximum number of students at the campus.

Official enrollment numbers are counted on the 20th day of classes.

Kansas University’s enrollment won’t be released until Sept. 22. KU does not release preliminary enrollment figures.
