The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department’s Aquatic Division office will be closed Thursday for maintenance, city officials announced today.

The office, which is getting its floor refinished on Thursday, is at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Dr.

The indoor swimming facility has been closed since Jul. 31 for annual maintenance. However, the offices had stayed open to allow enrollment in activities, to sell monthly passes and to answer general questions.

The city’s outdoor swimming facility, the Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St., will continue to be open from 1 to 8:45 p.m. daily. Lap swimming is available from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
