The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s July 27 game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver.

The North-South winners were Sally Taylor and Yvonne Hedges followed by Harriett Olson and Linda Heavin at second in A and first in B. Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce placed third in A and second in B followed by Julia Brooks and Sally Davis at fourth in A.

The East-West winners were Shirlie Vaughn and Shirley Reese followed by Eldon Herd and Paul Heitzman. Kathy Kryway and Virginia Seaver were third followed by Grant Sutton and Ann Thompson at fourth in A and first in B. Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld were second in B.

Barbara Hamilton and Bill Hamilton placed fifth in A and fourth in B with Grant Sutton and Steve Rego at third in C.

The North-South winners were Don Brennaman and Madelyn Jenks at first in A and B with Virginia Seaver and Chris Lane at second in A. Clara Elkings and Bob Dailey were third in A, second in B and first in C with Erna Holmes and Frances Vogel at fourth in A and third in B. Wanda Durbin and Julia Brooks were fifth in A, with Helen Huffman and Robert Huffman at second in C.

The East-West winners were Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld at first in A, B and C followed by Paul Heitzman and David Piro. Yvonne Hedges and Klee Zaricky were third in A, with Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce at fourth in A, second in B and C. Bobby Patton and Addie Nyquist were fifth in A, third in B and third in C.

¢ The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game was sponsored by the North East Kansas Unit of American Contract Bridge League. Election to the board of directors was conducted by Eldon Herd, board president. Elected to three-year terms were John Hickey, Russell LaForce and Terry Tolar, Lawrence; Shari Krentzel, Oskaloosa; and Jeffrey Nash, Topeka. Others serving on the board include Eldon Herd, Pat Radford, Don Brennaman and Jerry Sloan, Lawrence; Lois Jones and Vern Gregg, Topeka; and Polly Schoning, Manhattan.

The North-South winners were John Hickey and Stephen Day, with Chris Lane and Klee Zaricky at second in A and first in B. Charlie Vaughn and Dixie Nicholson were third in A, with Vern Gregg and Steven Phelps fourth in A and second in B. Jerry Sloan and Patt Radford placed fifth in A, with Virginia Eddy and Phyllis Brownlee at third in B. Harriett Olson and Barbara Figgins were fourth in B and second in C.

The North-South winners were Julia Dalton and Lester Dalton followed by Earl Core and Mike Lee at second in A and B but first in C. Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough placed third in A and B with Phyllis Brownlee and Madelyn Jenks at fourth in A and B but second in C.

The East-West winners were Jerry Sloan and Eldon Herd followed by Paul Heitzman and Donna Johnson. Virginia Seaver and Julia Brooks were third in A and B followed by Russell LaForce and Lois Clark at fourth in A and B but first in C. Mary Beth Treece and Mary Joyce were second in C.
