Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Theft of four tires and wheels from Jim Clark Motors, 2121 W. 29th St., was reported Sunday to Lawrence Police. The tires and wheels were valued at a total of $1,500.

¢ A 77-year-old Lawrence woman told police she was missing two insurance checks and some cash. The money and checks, totaling $1,700, were taken between July 25 and Saturday from the 600 block of Lyon Street.

¢ A 21-year-old Overland Park man told police he was missing several items taken from a location in the 4100 block of W. 24th St. Missing were fishing floats, Jeep airbags, men’s clothing, a bowling ball, AM/FM/CD stereo and a pool cue case for a total value of $3,280. The items may have been taken sometime between 5 a.m. Friday and 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

¢ Windows on a 1965 Chevrolet Caprice were damaged in a vandalism incident that occurred Friday night in the 100 block of Perry Street. A 29-year-old Lawrence man reported the vandalism to Lawrence Police. Damage was listed at $1,000.

¢ A Chevrolet Stroker motor was taken from a location in the 1400 block of Summit Street sometime between the night of July 25 and July 26. A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported the loss to Lawrence Police.

¢ A 61-year-old Lawrence man reported to police that someone damaged a wooden sign in the 600 block of Tennessee Street. Damage was listed at $1,500. The vandalism occurred sometime between Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

¢ A 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass was vandalized sometime Friday in the 3000 block of Bainbridge Circle. A 24-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident to police. Damage was listed at $1,000.

¢ A 1997 Mitsubishi valued at $4,000 was taken sometime Thursday night or early Friday morning from the 900 block of New Hampshire. A Lawrence man reported the theft to police.

¢ Lawrence Police are investigating the thefts of 230 CDs and a leather case from a location in the 1100 block of North Third Street. A 19-year-old Baldwin man said the thefts occurred sometime on the night of July 25.

¢ A 25-year-old Lawrence man reported that a Dell Notebook computer was missing from a residence in the 1200 block of Tennessee. The missing computer, valued at $1,500, was reported by a 25-year-old Lawrence man.

¢ A 2001 Volkswagen Jetta valued at $1,000 was reported missing by a 23-year-old Lawrence man. The vehicle was taken sometime early Saturday morning from the 1300 block of Tennessee Street.
